July 2013

Summer is in full swing. I finished my 2 summer courses last week (YAY!), helped with Runner's Camp, and hosted some family all at the same time! Mama, Dillan, and Autumn drove up on Tuesday to stay with us until Sunday. Evan had some baseball games that were rained out but they did get to see Noah and Natalie participate in the Runner's Camp track meet on Saturday. We spent most of our afternoons relaxing and playing cards, did a little shopping, and ate some yummy food. Here's some photos from our crazy week:

Mama treated us all to dinner at the Twisted Fork!
Nothing better than Sweet Spoons on a hot afternoon!

It was fun to watch all the kids at camp this week! Between the 2 camps, there were around 690 kids who attended and heard the Gospel. They learned about track and field, but most importantly, they left with a greater sense of who God is and how great His love is for them!

Of the events they could choose to compete in, Natalie chose long jump, shot put, 100m hurdles, and the 400m. She got a 6th place ribbon for the 400m. Her shot put throws measured 8.5 and 9.5 and her 100m hurdles time was 22:75. Noah chose long jump, 100m hurdles, and the 400. He placed 1st in both hurdles and the 400m and placed 3rd in long jump with a distance of 10.1 ft. His time for the 400m was 1:11:38!
