Thanksgiving

We decided at the last minute to go to Georgia for Thanksgiving. We typically don't make the long trip home in November since we always go for Christmas, but it worked out that we could surprise our family with an unexpected visit. Being back home meant we were able to have Thanksgiving lunch with all of Chuck's extended family. Most of them we haven't seen in years... alot of them our kids didn't know. It was good to catch up and give the kids an opportunity to hang out with "new" family members.

After we stuffed our faces, we headed to my Mom's to spend the evening with my side of the fam. There is never a dull moment with this crew!
Nana's 9 Grandbabies:)

Before we moved to NC, the gals (meaning my sisters and Mom) started a shopping tradition on Black Friday. It's not really about hard-core shopping, but just a fun opportunity to spend the day together. I've missed being able to do this with them since we moved so I was super excited to be there this time! We had so much fun together and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

We tried to get a group shot... I really didn't mean to cut off Mom and Lisa's heads! Oops!

Not only do we like to shop, but we all love football and were excited to go to our old highschool that night for their first round of playoffs. The highschool is a block from my Mom's house... which means the party starts there!

We have lots of memories on this field and it's always fun to cheer for the Patriots! Doesn't seem like that long ago when I was on those sidelines and Chuck was on the field:)

#1 FANS... and if you sit with them, you'll likely be featured on Football Friday Night!

Before heading back to NC on Saturday, we took a detour to beloved Athens, GA for game day there!

Needless to say, we drove back to Wake Forest exhausted from a long trip... but our hearts were so very full. It was truly a weekend we are so thankful for!
