The day off

... means there are things to get done! Cleaning and laundry as always... mixed with a little fun! The kids have one week left of track out so we headed over to The Collard Patch to pick strawberries. This was the first time the boys had gone. Usually, it's just me and Natalie and some "girl friends." As with anything else, the boys made it a competition. Throwing strawberries in the air and catching them... throwing strawberries across the field like baseballs... not recommended! We picked 2 buckets and enjoyed being outside for a bit. The boys also noticed a bird in the field. As we got closer, it flew away and we found some spotted eggs!

After we dropped off the strawberries at the house we decided to walk a few blocks over to a "new" ice cream shop nearby. Lumpy's Ice Cream!

And what else do you do after ice cream? You work out! Here's the boys on the rock wall at Kerr Family YMCA.

Evan scaled them pretty quick and even conquered the hardest wall.

Noah did great too! He went about half way up and wanted to come down... then he said "I want to try it again!" Such an accomplishment for him. He made it to the top and did great. So proud of him for trying new things!
