Bulldogs take the Title

I nervously drove from Noah's game to Evan's game on Sunday. They were scheduled to play for the division title at 4pm and thankfully there were delays so the game hadn't started when I got there at 4:30. We were playing at Garner High School... home of the Trojans and Scotty McCreery:) Had to throw that in there... Anyway, there was lots of excitement and lots of fans in the stands to support our guys in RED. Evan was back in full swing after being out a few weeks with a broken thumb. Our coaches and players were excited to take on Durham for the second time this season. But, we knew it would be a battle.  From the time they kicked off, we could tell it was going to be a tough fight. In the first quarter, we lost our #1. We knew the outcome didn't look good when the ambulance headed onto the field. T.J. broke his leg and had surgery this morning. After the players saw their injured friend leave the field they were motivated to play hard and win this one for T.J.
Durham scored first. They are the only team to score on us all season. They missed the extra point leaving it 0-6. The Bulldogs fought back to put some points on the board. We scored and got the extra points leaving it 8- 6. Durham later scores again to take back the lead... 8-12. Bulldogs get a safety in the 4th quarter to bring it to 10-12 with 3 minutes 30 seconds remaining. Bulldogs take over on downs and score with 2 minutes left... 16-12. Durham moves the ball down the field and we intercept with the clock ticking away. Bulldogs remain undefeated and capture the Consolidated Football Federation (CFF) Championship. We are headed to region playoffs!!! Let's Go Dawgs!
