4000 Steps... for LIFE

I was excited to have the kids join me in walking "4000 Steps" this past weekend! "4000 Steps" is a 2 mile walk-a-thon sponsored by Pregnancy Support Services of Wake Forest. The purpose of this event is to raise financial support and community awareness for women in our community who are faced with unplanned pregnancies and helps them find courage to choose LIFE.
We walked down the sidewalks in downtown Wake Forest, winding down street after street.
Somebody got tired and caught a ride:)
In addition to the walk, there were tables set up for vendors and various ministries. Here's Mary Pat and Tara helping at our Teen MOPS table!
The kids even had their own area to play in and entertain themselves with a variety of games and a bounce house. Natalie got to go fishing...
pick up ducks...

and the boys got to play too!

We had a fun morning in Festival Park! I am so thankful that I was able to share with the kids about God's design for our lives and how HE alone gives us hope!  I am very thankful for PSS of WF and their desire to minister to families in our community. Statistics show that in 2009, there were well over 7,000 abortions in our community, so there is alot of work to be done. 4,000 Steps is just one way we can show support and help spread the word... choose LIFE!

Our team raised over $3,000 and the total raised was over $103,000!!!! Thank you for your donations and helping us surpass our goal!
