Fun at the Durham Life and Science Museum

Today I got to take Natalie to a birthday party at the Durham Life and Science Museum. I took nearly 200 pictures but I promise they aren't all on this blog:) The place is amazing! There are so many exhibits and fun things to do. I heard there is also a ton of stuff outside to see as well, but the weather wasn't allowing that... as we pulled up into the parking lot at 2pm, the snow flurries started falling!

The train... fueled by used coffee grounds!

Natalie waited patiently in line to get on this "invention" but her little legs just weren't long enough to get the bike going...the purpose was to pedal fast enough to turn on the large fan which then blows other objects and turns the Christmas tree round and round!

Putting her hand in the "clouds"

Surprisingly, she got close to the snake but she didn't dare touch it!

Here, you can tap your toes and jump up and down to make your own "earthquake" and watch as it registers on the scale!

Apollo Command Module Test Vehicle... Nat's favorite thing!

All the kids loved going inside and mashing the buttons!

Apollo 15 Landing Site

Natalie and Grace (the Birthday Girl) watching the ants

...And this is one serious ant farm!

Making the jaws move

Diggin' up bones...

Enjoying the great playground activities before heading in for goodies in the party room!

Happy Birthday Grace!

And then we came out to a blanket of white snow!
