The Big Ten

Birthday season is upon us... Noah's birthday in April, Evan's in May, and Natalie's in June. We celebrated the "Big Ten" with Noah with a weekend of fun! As the birthday mail came flowing in this past week, we told Noah he had to wait and open his mail on his birthday. Of course, the suspense was more than he could handle. So, we told him he could open it before he went to school on Friday! That only meant that we were up at 5:30 having gift time:) He was excited to talk with Aunt Amanda on the phone before school too!

I took cupcakes to Noah's class that afternoon at his school. His teacher said to come at 2:15 so they could leave immediately for home after we sugared them up! I knocked on the classroom door at 2:10 and instantly heard screams and cheers... they knew exactly who was at the door! Without a doubt, they are a rowdy group and I understood immediately why the teacher wanted me to come so late in the day!!

We ended up at Red Robin for dinner that evening. It's one of our favorite places, plus the birthday boy got an ice cream sundae along with the "Happy, happy birthday" song from a crew of waiters. He was totally embarrassed!

The real party took place on Saturday. We invited over some of his friends for pizza, cupcakes, and ice cream and then headed to Zebulon for a Carolina Mudcats game.  All the kids got a drawstring backpack filled with the basic ballgame survival items... peanuts, cracker jacks, and sunflower seeds!

The rain delay kept us from staying for the entire game since it was getting late but the boys had such a great time together. I don't think any of them were ready to leave! Evan caught not 1, but 2 foul balls...

And the boys got autographs from Muddy...

They danced to all the music and got shown on the big screen! They really got a lot of laughs from other fans in the stands:)

A quick stop at Sonic on the ride home topped off the night. Thanks friends for helping make Noah's "Big Ten" so much fun!!
