We had quite a busy day!! The 4th graders at Heritage Elementary were invited to attend the NC Symphony to play their recorders. If you know my Noah, then you know this wasn't particularly what he wanted to do. He doesn't like being in front of a crowd of people at all! He even had some "fake sickness" during the early am hours... in an attempt to not have to go to school:) He did go and looked very handsome in his tie! Parents weren't allowed to go due to space issues.

I did however get to go to the elementary school to help with the kindergarten Dr. Seuss-ebration! All week long they've been reading Dr. Seuss stories and dressing in special outfits in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. Here's sleepy-eyed Natalie/I-don't-want-my-picture-taken Natalie with her silly hat on Tuesday...

On Thursday, the students had 15 rotations of Dr. Suess stations to take part in. It was so cute! I didn't get to see all the other stations in the other classrooms since I was helping make Things...

Other stations in the classroom where I was... (Cat in the hat) hats and treats!

After I left the school, I stopped by to see my buddies at the preschool where I used to work. I miss all of them so much! Once I got home, I tidied up the house, did some laundry, sat in the backyard and read a book (it was a beautiful 80 degrees), and enjoyed a small bowl of ice cream!  Chuck volunteered to do the grocery shopping for me! Love him:) Once the kids got home from school we had an early supper and then headed back to the elementary school for literacy night.

There were presentations and activities set up in the classrooms to promote reading and each child got to take home a book of their choice. I learned that you can find a variety of read aloud books for kids on youtube that include celebrities like Tim Tebow and Justin Beiber:)
