"And I'm quite snuggly"

Last week, Chuck was working on school assignments at the dining room table as Natalie is chopping up play dough beside him. Here is a snippet of the conversation she started...
(Natalie) "All the people in our family cook.  They cook really good. All the cookers in our family are famous cookers. But you know, no one is perfect. That’s why we need Jesus. Jesus had to die, but he rose. He “letted” it happen. He had to die for our sins.  He died to save us from our sin. We still sin."
So, if a 5 year old can transition a conversation to the gospel… there is hope for you.
**********************************************************************
(Natalie) "You’re the next best cooker daddy. God is first, you’re second, I’m third, Evan is fourth, Mama is fifth, Big Daddy sixth, and Grandma seventh."
"I’m your bestest daughter. And your only. And I’m quite snuggly."
This conversation makes me smile:) I'm so glad that Chuck documented what Natalie had to say since no one else was in the room to hear it. I am a little concerned that she ranked Evan's cooking ahead of mine, however! But since "all the cookers in our family are famous", I guess I'll be ok!
