Out of the box

When Chuck's parents came to visit recently, they brought 2 big containers. These containers have been in their attic for years. After our first move, I guess we just never thought to retrieve them. I knew we had them there and that some of our high school things were in them. But I suppose over time I forgot just what was hidden inside... yearbooks, graduation caps, pictures, and pom poms I knew of for sure. Our kids saw the containers under the carport and kept asking if we could get stuff "out of the box." Chuck finally did and I was in for a surprise! In one of the containers was a box (the original Reebok Pump tennis shoe box) that was full of love letters from me to Chuck. He kept close to 50 letters hidden away! Along with them was a prom ticket from our Jr. year of school, cards that I had given him, more photos, and football tags that our cheerleaders made each week for the players to wear on game days. I cannot get over how much stuff he kept! It was so fun to pull this stuff out of the box and share it with our kids.
