16 deep on Groveton Trail

We love to have family visit but it doesn't happen very often. But, this past weekend (including ourselves) we had 16 of us in our home. It was the crazy kind of fun. The kind of fun where you laugh til you cry. The kind of fun that you long for more often. The family kind of fun! Although our weekend was short, we packed in as much as we could tolerate with the scorching temperatures outside... take a look at some of my favorite photos from our adventures together...

Enjoying Fiesta Mexicana
We introduced the fam to Sweet Spoons...
... and Palsie's Popcorn
We relaxed and had a cookout, played, went shopping, and watched movies
We danced like no one was watching and pretended like we knew what we were doin'
We had a battle of the sexes: Autumn vs Evan
We searched for a letterbox in the park... in the dark! Talk about making memories. We didn't know if we'd happen upon a snake or come out with scrapes or poison ivy! We finally found the box, after arguing about it the whole time:)
We attempted to gather all of Nana's 'grands' for a picture... another difficult task!
But perhaps some of the greatest memories were not captured by my camera. The times when we sipped our coffee or piled up in the living room in our pj's... talking about our hopes and dreams. Sharing our hearts and our fears. Revealing ugly truths. Loving one another. Making fun of each other. And sharing what the Lord is doing in our lives. These are precious memories. Priceless. Let's do it again, soon!
