Who needs a tie?
We were scheduled to play the White Sox last night. Our last game against them was called early due to a thunderstorm that rolled in. We were tied at 6 and needed to play another inning to make it a "complete" game (and break the tie). Apparently the league rules say that we can't leave a game in a tie. So, when we got to the field last night we were told that the plan would be to finish the previous game before we started the scheduled game. We picked up where we left off in the line up. The player who'd made the last out was put as a runner on 2nd base. Each team would get a chance to score and hopefully after 1 inning, the tie would be broken. They scored 1. We scored more. Game over! Now on to the next game... at this point it's already 8:05pm. Thankfully our guys were playing better than they did on Tuesday! Evan had a big double play, tagging a guy out on 1st and throwing out a guy at 3rd. I love it when those plays work out:) But, to save you a lot of reading... guess who ended in another tie?
To be continued...
