Looking Back...

Look what I found!!! Can you find me and Chuck? I can't believe how many memories come flooding back when I see old pictures! This is us in 2nd grade... back when we were buddies and liked to aggravate one another and play chase:) These old pictures remind me of all kinds of stuff...
Such as:
Kindergarten - My cookies were stolen out of my lunch box one of the first few days of school; My sister, Suzanne, would always walk to my classroom to get me and all the kids would scream, "Hey Suzanne!"
First Grade - High Hat would visit our classroom; I broke my arm; I learned what it meant to change classes; Our principal always said "Hey, Shaana Mae" even though my name wasn't Mae:)
Second Grade - Gifted testing (I didn't make it, but Chuck did!); Erasing pencil marks off the wall because I LIKED doing it?? Crazy I know!; The heart-breaking death of my Grandmother; The May Pole
Third Grade - Crying like a baby on the first day of school; Reading flip charts; A nosy teacher; Love letters that said "Do you like me? Check yes or no! (I didn't get this from the country song... it really happened!); Playing tag on the playground
Fourth Grade - The dreaded multiplication tables - we had to write them every night; A teacher that called everyone "Son"; Standing at the chalkboard to answer problems, which I hated with the passion!
Fifth Grade - Moving to the 'east wing'; Music productions; An embarrassing fall in the gym; Making the squad; Learning to write in D'nealian
Sixth Grade - Science projects; Competition among classmates; Jr. Beta; Making giant paper flowers; Helping with bulletin boards; Spelling bee
Seventh Grade - Memorizing states and capitals; Having my purse and glasses stolen at school; Never wearing my glasses and were happy they were stolen; Atlanta Zoo trip; Faking sickness to get out of P.E.; Lots of girl drama; Valedictorian of my 7th grade class - I bet my Mom has a copy of my speech somewhere... seems like I talked about "opening the doors to the future", but what did I know?  I could have never imagined that my life would turn out this way. I could never know just what the Lord had in store for me... all the blessings He's given me... all the struggles He's helped me overcome. The best part... Chuck Hollingsworth has been there through it all!
