And so it begins...

Runner's Camp 2011. A week of sprinting, jumping, throwing, singing, and bible study. A great time for kids to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and discover the benefit of physical fitness through track and field. Throughout the week, the campers will rotate through track and field stations learning: high jump, long jump, javelin, shot and discus, hurdles, sprints and relays, distance running, and plyometrics. And I have to say, they LOVE it!! They make up chants and name their teams, play gorilla-man-gun, have water fights, and laugh and smile and sweat every.single.day. Hundreds of kids. Lots of volunteers. For one single cause. HE is the reason will live and breathe and have meaning. We fix our eyes on Him...

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1-2
