Our Story

Me and Chuck go way back...all the way back to elementary school! 3rd grade is where it really all began... chasing each other around the play ground and all those love notes:) Friends from the start. Always a part of each others life. I guess I played hard to get for a long time and finally came to my senses! We went on our first date on Valentine's Day after Chuck's 16th birthday and we had lots of "drama" for many years after that... break up, get back together, break up, get back together... We've not always honored the Lord with our actions or in our relationship but HE has taken our mistakes and made them beautiful blessings in our life.
So, on December 13, 1997 I married a sweet young thing that I loved so very much (I had just turned 20 and he was about to). Little did I know, the Lord would change our lives and show us who He really is. We had our first child 5 months later. We learned what it was really like to be "grown ups" really fast. It wasn't always easy. In fact, it was really difficult. But God kept calling us to Himself throughout it all. He has been faithful to us and our love for Him has continued to grow. Our love for each other has continued to grow. Honestly, I know we didn't make our lives easy by the decisions we made early on, but we've learned how to love sacrificially and trust God to supply our needs. We owe all we have to Him. Now here we are, after 13 years of marriage, with 3 beautiful kids... living 8 hours away from what we know as "home" and still trusting God... learning the true meaning of faithfulness and dependence on God... and counting our blessings!
I am thankful for you, Mr. Frank Clark Hollingsworth for sharing this journey with me. For being a man of integrity and sharing your love for Jesus with us and others. For teaching me what the Gospel really means and living it out in your life. For loving our kids and loving me when we can be quite un-loveable. For working so hard to provide for our family and constantly giving of yourself. I'll follow you as you follow Jesus! Looking forward to growing (older) with you!
