Heading to Preschool

Today was our first day at Building Blocks Learning Center! I will be teaching in the 3 year old class and Natalie is next door with the 4 year olds. I will be working with Mrs. Denise who is wonderful. The classes go to music twice a week with Mrs. Lisa and once to Discovery and once to Chapel on Thursdays! Natalie's teachers are Mrs. Amy and Mrs. Nancy. I actually taught Amy's daughter in MOPS last year at North Wake so we were happy to see her familiar face and her daughter, Jadyn! Natalie was a little shy going into the classroom at first...but that didn't last long! By the time I came out of staff devotion, she was ready to start the day with her new friends! This week, she'll be learning:
- about the life cycle of a pumpkin
- practicing the letter "P"
- pumpkin themed poems & art projects
- colors and changes in nature
- writing fall themed words
- bible stories (God made land and plants; Ruth gathers grain)
- books featuring Lois Ehlert (the author of the week)
- art of Vincent Van Gogh
- character trait for this month: Sharing
- other fun projects such as making slime, lacing alphabet beads, identifying leaves

I am so thankful to be a part of this ministry and can't explain what joy it brings me to see Natalie in this environment! We had a great day!
