The journal

For quite some time, Noah has been a "fan" of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books... I guess that's what started all his talk about journals and such. While we were in Ga this past weekend, Grandma gave Noah a wooden journal! He was really excited and asked what he should put in it. So, we encouraged him to write about the things we were doing in Ga. You know, all the details of the trip. Here are some of his very own thoughts:

"Yesterday me and my family went to Georgia for my brother's birthday and for my cousins gradulation. It was a long trip. It was nine hours and ten minutes. I had to use the bathroom only two times. We had to stop for gas three times. We stoped at my Nana's house to see her for a few minutes. Then we went to our Grama's house. We got to her house at 8:30. When we got there we played with legos then we went to bed. When I woke up everybody else was asleep except for Grama and Bid Daddy. They were up waching the Mentalist. Natalie was asleep on the couch in the living room with Grama and Big Daddy. After we watched the Mentalist Evan woke up and me and him played with legos and made things. After me and Evan made things Mom and Dad woke up and they got ready to go to my cousin's gradulation with my brother. After it was over our family came to our Grama's house. We were having a pool pary. We played basketball, tag, water fights, volly ball in the pool then got out and had cake and icecream. Then Evan and Natalie opened presents. My Nana got me a present and and a five dollar bill. The present was a iron man toy called iron man racer. I really liked it. I said thankyou. My Grama said that when everybody left she would take me to Dollar General. At the store I didn't spend my money. Grama said that she would pay for it. I thought that was really nice so I got 4 GI Joe toys. They costed 3 dollars. I felt bad because Grama had to spend all her money so I put one back. I felt better then. When we got back to the house I got in the pool with my Mom. We played basketball with each other. Mom never got in the pool. She scored more than me. It was twenty to ten."

And on and on the journal goes:)

  1. Aw...so sweet! And so detailed! How does he remember all of that? Maybe I did too when I was younger. I had a diary when I was little. Do you remember that or were you too little?
