It's almost time! We will be heading to Chicago on Saturday with 15 other students from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary for a week of urban ministry. Please be in prayer for our team as we prepare our hearts to engage the lost people of Chicago. We hope to be able to update the blog during the week, so stay tuned! Just so you have an idea of how and where we'll be ministering, here's a tentative schedule for the week:
(We'll be staying at Silversmith Hotel and Suites on Wabash Ave. so you can google it and check out the place - It looks really nice!)
Sat. - Arriving in Chicago - Attend service at Ethiopian Church at C3
Sun. - Attend am service at Immanuel (church near UIC campus) Attend pm service at Armitage (key church innner Chicago)
Mon. - AM - Prayer walking and ministry at UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago) Spend afternoon/evening with with church planters
Tues. - Lunch with Dave Arnold and orientation about his work - Spend time in his community that afternoon - Dinner with John Patrick (another church planter)
Wed. - Prayer walking/mapping for John Patrick - Data collection in this new church plant area
Thur. - Continue with John Patrick - Begin prayer walking/mapping at North Center area for a new church plant
Fri. - Continue at North Center area and Sightseeing
Sat. - Fly home!
