Snow Days
Our big "winter storm" has pretty much shut down the town! Before the weekend got here, the stores were packed with people buying last minute supplies and the gas stations all had lines of cars waiting. It was crazy for us Georgia folks who aren't accustom to snow of any kind! As expected, we got a good bit of snow and everything was canceled during the weekend. Even church:( So, we were able to have our own "church" at home Sunday morning. Our pastor emailed out the passages to study as well as some questions to ask as a family. We were also sent a link to listen to the songs that would have been sung by our worship team Sunday morning and the children's worksheet was sent too! We spent our Sunday afternoon at the golf course near the seminary, sledding with friends. Alot of other folks had the same idea and we had lots of fun! School was canceled Monday because of the road conditions. I pretty much expected that to happen. Then they canceled school for Tuesday and then for Wednesday. So, we are now on 3 days of cancellations which means they will have to be made up on Saturdays. At least for the year-round school kids. Because they are a mulit-track system and there's always someone in school, the weekend is the only time to make up the days. As you can imagine, the boys are not so happy about the thought of going to school on Saturday. But the fun gets better... we are now expecting more "winter weather" this weekend too. We may end up with rain or we may end up with snow on Saturday. The kids are excited but I have to say, I'm ready for SUMMER!
